Club Championships:
Both Minor and Major singles are into the home turn, semi’s being played at the moment .

District Championships 2008 :

Friday Port Jackpot Pairs
The jackpot pairs are away to a very successful start , with an average of 17 rinks for the first 3 weeks
Pennant News
Our 2 “A” side got up in the last game over Westport to win the district flag and will play for the zone flag on 25/05/08 . Congratulations guys , from all of Port City bowlers
Prestige Pairs
Entries for 2008 will close on 7/06/08 , and David informs me that there is still room for 10 teams .
Prawn and Chicken Night
Another very successful night was held for pennant players and some of the awards given out by our Bowls Co-ordinator David were :

Our Number One Supporters
The Committee has decided to award a recognition to Nerida & Ted Warby for their continued support of Port City bowlers. These wonderful people are at every game they can get to, and the club is aware and appreciative for their interest .
Committee News
Wizard Home Loans donated 6 passes to the state of origen game last week and these were raffled prior to the game .
After bowls raffles are going well , and the committee thanks all bowlers for their support.
The Port Macquarie City Bowling Club is coming up for its 70th birthday soon . Club Ltd Pres. Bob indicated that the installation of synthetic greens had been deferred for a year .
Advanced Coaching is available for members and is conducted Friday mornings . Please see David Gabb .
Please check on your locker numbers , the front office is conducting a check to make sure names and locker numbers match , the sheet is in the bowls office (see Burnie).
Umpire’s News :
Port City is still in need of umpires, so if you are interested please see Denny McAuliffe as there is a course starting in July .
