State Pennant Finals - Aug 4

Winners of the State Pennants have been decided for 2008 with the finals played this morning.

Scores for the finals were as follows:

Grade 1: East Cessnock def. Warilla 63 - 34
Grade 2: Lambton def. East Cessnock 66 - 57
Grade 3: Tuncurry def. Guildford 64 - 60
Grade 4: Albion Park def. Cootamundra Ex Sevices 61 - 55
Grade 5: West Dubbo def. Armidale City 59 - 47
Grade 6: Picton def. Windang 55 - 45
Grade 7: Windang def. Ganmain 78 - 44

It was interesting to note that East Cessnock and Windang (a suburb of Woolongong) both had 2 teams in the State finals. It must say something of their strength as a competitive Pennant Club.
